Our founder, Renee Mahindru, has always understood the power of detail. From her early years in hospitality to her career as a Creative Director, she has seen how care and refinement shape experiences. With a degree in International Marketing and research into how the environment of a space transforms satisfaction and success, she created R01 to bring that same level of intention to cleaning.
I’m Renée, the founder of R01.
“I bring the same drive I once gave to the corporate world into R01, but here my focus is entirely on people. For me, cleaning is about lending a helping hand to those who need it.
There’s a lot of pressure to keep a perfectly clean home, especially for women. Many of us are balancing work, family, and everything else life brings. Some of my clients are older, some live with disabilities and others are simply stretched thin trying to do everything themselves. I love being able to step in and make someone’s day a little easier. I often imagine the moment a client walks through the door and feels that sense of relief when their home is clean and taken care of.
What many large cleaning companies don’t seem to understand is that people don’t just want a basic service. They want their personal needs understood and the same familiar face each week. I’m tired of seeing companies advertise a ‘general clean’ and then hand over a long list of things they won’t touch. At R01, we do things differently. We focus on the details that actually matter while keeping our pricing competitive, because I don’t believe people should have to settle for ‘good enough’.”
